Lebanon 6, Wilson Central 1MT. JULIET -- Bethany Anderson kept Wilson Centrals bats at bay early and a four-run fourth lifted Lebanon High to a 6-1 win over the Lady Wildcats Wednesday in the losers bracket of the District 9AAA tournament.
With the victory, Lebanon improved to 18-19-1 and is scheduled to face Station Camp today at 5 p.m. (Thursday) in another loser-out contest.
Anderson hurled five innings of shutout ball before giving way to Beth Swartwout to close it down.LHS pounded out 11 hits, including three by infielder Katie Blackburn and two each from Kearston Yahola and Heather Brown.
Wilson Central ended the season with a record of 32-15 overall. Ninth grader Hannah Bodenhorn took the loss for the Lady Wildcats, allowing all 11 hits, walking two and striking out seven.

Beech 2, Mt. Juliet 1, (8 innings)MT. JULIET -- Defending state champ Beech needed an extra inning to defeat Mt. Juliet 2-1 late Wednesday in the winner's bracket finals of the District 9AAA tournament.
Beech (45-1) will play for the district title Friday at 5 p.m. Its opponent will come out of Thursdays losers bracket finals -- Mt. Juliet, Lebanon or Station Camp.

Lebanon 9, Station Camp 7 -- GALLATIN -- Lebanon upset No. 2-seeded Station Camp 9-7 Monday, earning a shot at tournament host Mt. Juliet Tuesday in the semifinals of the winner's bracket.
LHS improved to 17-18-1 with the win -- scoring seven runs in the top of the second inning. Kristen Dedman had a three-run double for Lebanon.
Beth Swartwout worked the first five innings and picked up the decision. Ironically, she also earned the save as she reentered the contest, recording the final four outs.
Mt. Juliet 11, Hendersonville 8 --MT. JULIET -- Ashton Stowe had three hits, three RBI and scored three runs as Mt. Juliet held off Hendersonville 11-8 Friday.
Lauren Woodard went five and two-thirds innings for the win, while ninth grader Savannah Sanders got the save with three strikeouts. Mt. Juliet improved to 29-11-1 overall.
