Local mortgage broker Charles Jones has come under fire recently in the Nashville media accusing him and his business, dont4close.com, of misleading homeowners who find themselves in tight financial situations. Jones and his wife, Melissa, own several pieces of property in Wilson County and most recently purchased the bowling alley on North Cumberland Street in Lebanon for $500,000.
Nashville television station NewsChannel 5 reported that Jones allegedly defrauded several homeowners in Middle Tennessee by telling them he could save them from foreclosure. Jones has been accused of securing mortgages using bogus names while the homeowner is oblivious to the deal. Jones has denied all the allegations made by the local CBS affiliate. His dont4close.com operation is reportedly out of business but the website bearing the same name is still operational. His office is listed as 110 South Cumberland in Lebanon.
An attempt to contact Jones about the allegations was unsuccessful. The telephone number on the company website was not a working number.
