LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 at the Sellars Funeral Home, 313 W. Baddour Parkway, for Mrs. Gentry, 89, of Lebanon.
A kind, loving, devoted wife of more than 60 years and mother, Mrs. Gentry died May 30, 2008 following an extended illness.
She was a member if the First Baptist Church in Lebanon for over 50 years and mother to two sets of twins plus one son. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home Tuesday, June 3 from 10 a.m. until the service.
WATERTOWN -- Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 at the Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Robertson, 91, of Watertown.
Daughter of the late Cleburne and Ruby Vaught Griffin, she died June 1, 2008 at her residence. She was a native of Wilson County and a member of the Ramah Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends until 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral. Services will be conducted by Rev. Jimmy Atnip and Myron Lasater officiating. Interment will follow at the Griffin Cemetery.
CARTHAGE -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 at the Bass Funeral Home for Mr. Dickens, 75, of Lebanon. Known as "Corky" to his family and friends, Mr. Dickens died May 31, 2008.
The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon Monday, June 2 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation Tuesday is at Bass Funeral Home in Carthage from 10 a.m. until service.
Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Danny Sellars and Brother Buford Bane. Interment follows in the Dickens Cemetery, Elmwood.
LEBANON -- Officials with Wilson County Promotions, sponsor of the Wilson County Fair announce the theme "Home Spun, Family Fun," for the 2008 Wilson County Fair.
The annual event will again bring together people throughout Middle Tennessee and the country. This year, the nine-day fair gets underway Friday, Aug. 15 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 23.
"Fair board members are working hard to make the final plans for another award winning fair," said Hale Moss, president of the board.
