Obituaries

Evelyn Argo Harris Holman, 87

LEBANON – Funeral services have been set for 10 a.m. Friday, May 15 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Holman, 87, of Lebanon. A cosmetologist, Mrs. Holman died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Summit Medical Center.

The daughter of the late Early Nathan and Lorene Argo Harris, she was a member of Hermitage United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Services will be conducted by Rev. Anne Fraley of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. Interment will be at 1 p.m. in the Williams Cemetery in White Bluff.

Survivors include: son James Clifton Holman Jr.; daughter Patricia "Pace" Loraine Holman (C. Monty) Pope and sister Earline Harris Whitten.

Also surviving are grandchildren John Charles (Traci) Pope and Spencer Holman (Kristi) Pope; great-grandchildren Kennedy Brook Pope, Garrett John Pope, Carter Neyland Pope and Lauren Caroline Pope; as well as beloved nieces nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband James C. Holman Sr.; sisters Elizabeth Madole and Rosalie Whitehorn Gardner; brother Andrew Nathan Harris.

Active pallbearers: John C. Pope, Spencer H. Pope, Charles D. Holman, David Whitten, Ronnie Giles and Jim Cate. Honorary pallbearer: Dr. Bryce Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.

Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
