MT. JULIET -- Funeral services have been set for 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 26 at the Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet for Mr. Weems, 72, of LeVergne. Known as "Don" to his family and friends, he died Aug. 23, 2009.
Visitation is Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of service. Services will be conducted by Brother Todd Kirkland with burial at the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Survivors: his wife of 50 years Gail Weems; daughter Vickie (Phil) Harris; sister Carla Chaney; and grandchildren Adam and Matthew Ballinger.
Mr. Weems was preceded in death by parents James and Pauline Weems; sister Ruth Weems and brother Robert Weems.
Pallbearers will include: Phil Harris, Adam Ballinger, Matthew Ballinger, Rodger Ballinger, Larry Harris, Ken Wolf, and Charles Young.

LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, August 25 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Henley, 89, of Lebanon. A US Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Fairview Baptist Church, he died Aug. 22, 2009 at the University Medical Center.
Mr. Henley was a car salesman for Burchett Ford and the son of the late Vernon B. & Velma Neal Henley. Services were conducted by Pastor Michael Christian. Interment was at the Prosperity Cemetery in Cannon County.
Survivors include: children Harry (Paula) Henley, Nancy (Jim) Speck and Susan (Floyd) Dunnavant.
Also surviving is sister Mary (Bill) White; grandchildren Daniel (Linda) Dunnavant, DeeDee (Kris) Hatchell, Mike (Lisa) Henley, Jeff (Page) Henley, Lisa Speck, Kelly Speck and Brody Speck; great grandchildren Bryan, Makayla, & Winter Henley, Chase Owen, & Tanner Henley.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Henley is preceded in death by his wife Hallie Naomi "Polly" Henley, daughter Paula Jean Henley; siblings Vernie, Robbie, Ed Henley and Ruth Summers.
Mr. Henley’s nephews served as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were caregivers Kathy Adkins, Mary Butler, Betty Henley, Grace Greenway, Anne Wallace, and Beverly Adkins.

MT. JULIET -- Mr. Lawson, 72, of Mt. Juliet passed peacefully in his sleep Thursday, August 20, 2009. A member of Romeo United Methodist Church in Bulls Gap and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was the son of the late, Henry Hugh and Della Mae Livesay Lawson.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27 at Rutland Place, 435 NW Rutland Road, Mt. Juliet.
Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6 at Romeo United Methodist Church, 11295 Lonesome Pine, Bulls Gap.
Survivors include: children Leah (Phillip) Smith of Mt. Juliet, Lori Anne Lawson of Midland, TX, Kathryn Lawson of Nashville and Henry Burton (Keathley) Lawson, II of Milledgeville, GA. Also surviving are siblings Carson (Patricia) Lawson, Charlie (Joann) Lawson, Ralph Lawson, Bill (Debra) Lawson and Joyce (Gene) Bellamy; and eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Betty Lorene Byrd Lawson and siblings Wayne Lawson, Mildred Wallace and Harold Lawson.

MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon, August 24 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Magin, 64, of Mt. Juliet. A mechanic with Yellow Freight for 27 years, he died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 surrounded by his family.
Services were conducted by Rev. R. David O’Neal. Interment followed at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 34 years Louise Cashion Magin of Mt. Juliet, father Peter J. Magin of Chickamauga, GA and children Doug Wayne (Shannon) Magin and Sonny Keith (Brandi) Magin -- all Mt. Juliet; Charles Edward (Toni) Cashion of Old Hickory and Melissa Cashion (Tony) Salinas of Bastrop, TX.
Also surviving are siblings Richard Magin, Mary Jo (Ted) Austin, Sandra Magin of Lafayette and Jean Brock -- all of Georgia; grandchildren Holly (James) Mason, Brittany Judd, Melinda Magin, Cody Cashion, Mikaela Salinas, Nicholas Magin, Anthony Phillips, Shanan Salinas, Eric Phillips and Kaylee Magin; great-grandchild Trey Mason.
He was preceded in death by his mother Fannie Mae Strickland Magin and his grandson Christopher John Magin.
Active pallbearers included Ralph Murphy, John Harper, Anthony Brys, Terry Cashion, Arthur "Chip" Griggers and Bobby Human. Honorary pallbearers: O.J. Rowe, Leroy Scruggs, John Skipper and Bobby Skipper.

OLD HICKORY -- Funeral services were conducted Monday morning, August 24 at the Hermitage Funeral Home for Mrs. Pond, 65, of Mt. Juliet. She died Aug. 21, 2009.
Services were conducted by Rev. Russ Stephens. Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: children Doug Pond, Vallerie (Doug) Manning; grandson Daniel Jenkins; granddaughter Amberly Stewart; great-grandchildren Katelyn, Ashton, Hannah; brother Morris (Donna) Pate; devoted friends Traci Gentry, Jeffrey and Hanna.
Mrs. Pond was preceded in death by husband, James Pond. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, August 25 at Sellars-Mt. Juliet for Mrs. Ferreira, 91, of Mt. Juliet. An excellent seamstress who enjoyed making tablecloths and bedspreads, she died Aug. 23, 2009.
She was a devout member of the Catholic Church and the daughter of the late Francisco Ferreira Dos Santos and Ermelinda Da Conceicao Fernandes.
Survivors include: her husband of 58 years Antonio Ferreira; son Luis (Diane) Ferreira; sisters Maria Tereza Ferreira Dos Santos and Maria Henriqueta Ferreira Dos Santos; brother Jorge Ferreira Dos Santos; and grandchildren Carl, Elyse and Erik Ferreira.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Maria Olivia Ferreira Dos Santos, Maria Helena Ferreira Dos Santos and Mario Augusto Ferreira Dos Santos.

LEBANON -- Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 27 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Buhler, 91, of Lebanon. A homemaker and formerly employed at Lux Clock and the Lebanon Garment Factory, Mrs. Buhler died Monday, Aug. 24, 2009 at Pavilion Care Center.
Born is McMinn County, she was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
Visitation Wednesday 2-8 p.m. and Thursday after 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Wallace Alsup and Wendell Gilbert. Burial will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: children Gertrude (Tom) Hallums, James (Billie) Hibdon and Charlotte (Richard) Cassetty -- all of Lebanon. Also surviving are siblings Ruth Rogers of Lebanon, Edna Taylor of Smithville, Henry Massey of San Antonio, TX, Joe Massey of Clarksville and Leonard Massey of Toccao, GA; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Buhler was preceded in death by parents Henry Lee and Gertrude White Massey, husband Henry Buhler and siblings John, George, W.C., Charles and Laura Ann Massey.
