Wilson Co. sports in brief

MJ baseball BBQ sale -- Mt. Juliet High’s baseball team will be cooking and delivering barbeque for Super Bowl Sunday with proceeds going to fund a tournament trip to Florida in March. With a minimum order of $18 your order of St. Louis style ribs or pulled pork will be delivered to your home.
 Individual slabs of ribs are available for $18 with discounts for multiple orders. Pulled pork is available for $8 per pound. Deliverly area is West Wilson County, west of Highway 109 to East Davidson County line, East of Old Hickory Blvd. For an order form, send an e-mail to David Wright at dwright@carpenterwright.com.

Chili supper set Feb. 13 -- The Devilettes Fastpitch Club will be hosting its annual chili Supper Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Westland United Methodist Church. Proceeds will go to the Lebanon High softball team. A silent auction and cornhole tournament will also be held that evening. Admission is $5. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the team or at the door  the night of the event. Call Richard Smallwood at 444-2597 or 330-3738.

FBC basketball camp -- Lebanon’s First Baptist Church wil be the site of a President’s Day basketball camp for boys and girls in grades K-7. Davis Harrison will run Monday, Feb. 15 with athletes in grades K-4 working out from 8 a.m. - 12 Noon with an emphasis on dribbling skills. Campers in grades 5-7 will work out 1-5 p.m. and will focus on 1-on-1 offensive skills. Cost is $30 per camper. In person registration will be held at the church office Monday- Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. For more information, call 615-417-4510 Your spot is reserved when payment is received.

Rotary / Dixie baseball -- Signups have begun for the spring baseball league. To sign up, just go online at www.lebanonrotarybaseball.com or call Debbie at 453-6821. To be eligible to play, players must be between 9 to 12 years of age as of April 30, 2010. There is no charge to play. Returning players will stay with their current team, unless moving up to the next level. Tryouts will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Lebanon Rotary baseball fields located in the Baird Park Complex. Returning players moving up and new registrants will need to tryout. Space is limited and will be on the first signup basis.

NSS tickets now on sale -- Season and individual race tickets for the 2010 season at the Nashville Superspeedway are now on sale. Fans can reserve great seats by calling 866-RACE-TIX or by going online at www.NashvilleSuperspeedway.com tickets start at $35 for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races and $45 for NASCAR Nationwide Series races. Season tickets including all three race weekends are still available starting at $179 for adults and just $84 for kids 12 and under.

Dance benefits WC soccer -- A Father Daughter Valentines Dance for grades K-8 will be held Friday, February 5, from 6-9 p.m. at West Wilson Middle School. Pizza and soft drinks will be served. All proceeds will benefit the  Wilson Central High School Soccer Boosters.

LSGA 2010 sign-ups -- Sign-ups for the 2010 season of the Lebanon Girls Softball Association season will be held between the hours of 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 and Feb. 13 at the LGSA clubhouse in the Baird Park Complex. The league is for girls ages 5-13. For more information call Kenny Black at 330-8983.
