LEBANON -- Funeral services for Mr. Clifton Allen Earps, 50, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, January 30 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Mr. Earps, of Morrow, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at the Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale, Georgia.
Born June 30, 1959, in Wilson County, he was the son of Mattie Maye Cummings Earps of Lebanon and the late William Thomas Earps. He was a member of the Fatherland Baptist Church in Nashville and had been a cook at Waffle House for many years.
Visitation is set Friday 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Saturday at Ligon & Bobo. Services will be conducted by Rev. Danny Sellars. Interment will follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: mother Mattie Maye Cummings Earps; brothers Charles Earps, Daniel (Alice) Earps, Mark (Colleen) Earps and Carl (Teresa) Earps -- all of Lebanon; along with several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Richie Watson, Tommy Spivey, Kevin Graves, Terry England, Manuel Cummings, Stacy Massey, David Cummings and James Cummings. Arrangements by Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.
LEBANON -- Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 31, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Tatum, 85, of the LaGuardo Community. Retired from DuPont in Old Hickory after 29 years as an electrician and welder, he passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at his home.
A lifelong farmer, Mr. Tatum was a member of the Berea Church of Christ. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 1-5 p.m. and from 12 Noon until the funeral service on Sunday.
Services will be conducted by Brother Todd Elliott and Brother Greg Smith. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Janette Tatum, daughter Susan (Richard) Beadle, sons Philip Tatum and Barry Tatum -- all of Lebanon; grandchildren Brandon (Melissa) Farmer, Will Hunter-Tatum, Bryan (Melissa) Farmer and Brittany Farmer; step-grandchildren Shawna (Flynn) Jennings and Michael Beadle; great-grandchildren Cameron and Jacob; step-great grandchildren Avery and Easton.
Mr. Tatum was preceded in death by his parents John & Dolly Foutch Tatum, his brother Frank Tatum and daughter-in-law Polly Hunter Tatum.
Mr. Tatum requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the charity or church of your choice. Honorary pallbearers: David Farmer, Emily and Scott Lough, Butch and Vona Reed, Donnie and Mary Ann Bain along with the Elders and Deacons of Berea Church of Christ. WATERTOWN -- Graveside funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, January 28 at the Poplar Hill cemetery for Mrs. Sansbury, 90, formerly of Watertown. Former operator of the Watertown Western Auto Store, she died Jan. 27, 2010 at her Murfreesboro residence.
Born in Fitzgerald, GA, to the late William Stanton and Madge Lee Bouchillon, she was a member of the Central Christian Church in Rutherford County.
Survivors include: daughter Gail Williams of Murfreesboro and grandchildren Ashley (Jeff) Sullivan of Nashville; Lee (Megan) Sanders of Ashville, NC and Aaron (Shawn) Williams of Murfreesboro; four great grandchildren and caregivers Mary Ruth Reed and Louise Brewer.
She is preceded in death by husbands Newell Haskell "Hack" Sanders and John Saulsbury; son Lawrence Lee Sanders and brother Bill Bouchillon. Memorials may be directed to: Alzheimer's Association, 4205 Hillsboro Road, Suite 216, Nashville, 37215.
