Obituaries

David Earl Wilkerson, 67
LEBANON -- Mr. Wilkerson, age 67, of Lebanon, died Oct. 21, 2010, at the University Medical Center.
Born Mar. 29, 1943 in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Daniel and Ona Mai Walden Wilkerson.
He was a 1961 graduate of Lebanon High School and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He worked as a supervisor at Custom Packaging in Lebanon for several years and was a carpenter.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkerson was preceded in death by wives Melbie Huffines Wilkerson and Myrna Armstrong Wilkerson along with brother Bobby Lowe Wilkerson.
Survivors include children Mark Wilkerson and Breana Page Wilkerson -- both of Lebanon; siblings Johnnie (Bobbie) Wilkerson, Frank (Betty) Wilkerson and Katherine Diane (Joe Mack) Sheppard -- all of Lebanon, Walter (Shirley) Wilkerson of Scottsville, KY; Sandra Faye (Terry) Duke of Hermitage; Brenda Kay (Gary) Smith of Smyrna and Sharon Rose Lawson of Hermitage.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, with Brother Loyd Gale officiating.
Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 p.m. and Saturday after 10 a.m.

Jerry Lynn Hensley, 53
LEBANON -- Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Hensley, 53, of Lebanon.
A member of Crossroads Fellowship Church and an engineer with Emerson Solution Products, he died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at his residence.
Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 12 noon until the funeral.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Gary Miller. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife of 30 years, Lee Ann Hensley; children Terry Hensley and Sherrie Huskey.
Also surviving is his mother Lillian Gregg; brother Michae(Lydia) Hensley; grandchildren Kileigh Huskey, Warren Phillips, Alexis and Desiree Phillips; nieces Megan Hensley and Tonya Denise Phillips, Brandy Gregg; nephews Elijah Hensley, Chad Boyce, Jeremy Boyce, Travis Gregg, Heath Johnson; stepbrothers Michael (Fran) Gregg and Gary(Barbara) Gregg; along with numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
Mr. Hensley is preceded in death by his father, Chester Lee Hensley; maternal grandparents Syrell & Gladys Dotson; paternal grandparents Miles & Clara Hensley; step-father Fred Gregg; step-sister Penny Gregg; step grandparents Tony & Sophia Gregg; numerous aunts & uncles.
Pallbearers: Ricky Schexnayder, Ken Cockrell, Terry Whitfield, Ryan Taylor, Chad Boyce and Jeremy Boyce. Honorary: the family at Emerson Solution Products.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sherry’s Run, P.O. Box 8, Lebanon, 37088.

Loretta Ann Liljegren, 72
LEBANON -- A memorial service has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the Immanuel Baptist Church for Ms. Liljegren, 72, of Watertown.
Ms. Liljegren died Oct. 19, 2010. She worked in the banking industry for over 50 years.
Survivors include nieces Susan (Mark) Dickhas and Jilene LaBelle along with sister-in-law Roberta Liljegren.
She is preceded in death by parents Victor and Loretta Ann Glaza Liljegren, sister Gertrude Liberko and brother Warren Liljegren.
Memorial donations may be made to: National Kidney Foundation (2120 Crestmoor Rd, Nashville 37215).

Marie Gammon Ford, 83
LEBANON -- Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Ford, 83, of Lebanon.
Born in Trousdale County, she died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at the Cedars Health Care.
Visitation will e held Friday 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Ligon & Bobo.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Gordon Lee. Interment will follow at the Dixon Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include: children Edna Brown Slaughter of Clarksville, Indiana; Michael Brown of Bethpage; and Steven Brown of Lebanon; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Ford is preceded in death by parents Perry Yate and Nannie Ellen McClanahan Gammon, husband James Ford and brother, Ronald Lewis Gammon.
Pallbearers: Lloyd Brown, Michael Brown, Steven Brown, Tim Slaughter, Paul Slaughter and James Loyall.

Mark Alan Christian, 45
LEBANON -- Funeral services have been set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Parlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Christian, 45, of Lebanon.
A meat manager at Save-A-Lot and a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, he died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010.
Visitation will be held Friday between the hours of 3-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the funeral.
Services will be conducted by Brother Glenn Denton. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife Kristy Hale Christian; daughters Chasity Christian and Chelsey Christian.
Also surviving are siblings: Debra (Wayne) Brown, Angela (Roger) Sullins, Donnie (Junita) Christian, Michael (Sissy) Christian, Gary (Sally) Christian and Michael Wayne” Sam” (Pinky) Murphy; grandsons: Alton Brant Barrett and Christopher Rowles; grandchildren-to-be Levi James Davey, Mason Dean and Harley May ; nephews Kyle and Kevin Murphy and Ethan Hale.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Claude and Betty Sue Wauford Christian.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mary Frances Hill Gilliam, 79
LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 12 Noon Saturday, Oct. 23 at the JC Hellum Funeral Home for Mrs. Gilliam, 79, of Lebanon.
Born Jan. 31, 1931 to the late Mr. Jack and Frances Young-Hill, she died Oct. 20, 2010.
A faithful member of the Lebanon Church of God, she was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxilary. 
Family visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 22 between the hours of 6:30-8 p.m. at the Lebanon Church of God.
Bishop A.J. Valentine will be the officiant; Rev. Dr. Willie E. Bryson, the eulogist. Interment will follow at the Rest Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include: loving husband William "Bill" Gilliam; children John E.(Sondra) Bryson, Rev. Dr. Willie E. (Pam) Bryson, Evelyn J. Bryson, Dannie (Curlee) Patrick, Robbie (Mike) Britton, Stephen W. Gilliam, Lisa A. Gilliam, Janice (Darryl) Kidd and Mary (Pastor Anthony) Dobson.
Also surviving are 25 grandchildren; 31 great, grandchildren; siblings Callie Inez Whitefield, Joyce Hogg and Johnny Hill.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, the late John and Kizzy Hill; siblings Mamie Lee Dowell and William Jackson Hill; Sister-in-law Lillie Mai Moxley; Andrew B. Young as well as many cousins, nieces and friends.
Funeral services are in the care of JC Hellum Funeral Home, 107 Stokes St., Lebanon.

Ronald Edwin Farmer, 58
LEBANON -- A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mr. Farmer, 58, of Lebanon.
Known as "Ron" to his family and friends, he passed away Oct. 17, 2010.
The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 11 a.m. until service on Friday.
Services will be conducted by Brother Danny Sellars.
Survivors include: daughter Dishan Lavene Farmer; mother Sally Farmer; siblings Diane Everett, Brenda Sue Travis and Randy Farmer.
He is preceded in death by wife Teresa Farmer and sister Renee’ Farmer.

Tamela Diana Seeley, 48
WATERTOWN -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Seeley, 48, of the Commerce Community.
Born in Florence, AL and a homemaker, she died Oct. 20, 2010 at Lebanon's University Medical Center.
The daughter of the late J.F. and Frances Adams Mosley, she was a member of the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until the service -- which will be conducted by Brother Ronnie Armstead.
Graveside services are planned for 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 at the Union Hill Cemetery in Leoma.
Survivors include: husband Harold Seeley and daughters Sylvia Seeley and Carmen Seeley -- all of Watertown.
Also surviving are siblings Jeffery Mosley, Maria Seymour, Melissa Couch and Johnnie Willenburg along with several nieces and nephews.

Wayne Hackett, 66
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Oct. 21 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Hackett, 66, of Lebanon.
Born Nov. 24, 1944, in Smith County, he died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at his home.
Son of the late Clifton Miles and Windell Marie Kemp Hackett, he was a 1962 graduate of Smith County High School.
Mr. Hackett was the Director of Maintenance at University Medical Center for many years and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Services were conducted by Rev. Glenn Denton. Interment followed at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife Shirley Edwards Hackett; children Mark (Kim) Hackett and Rachel Hackett (Chad) Mitchell; and grandchildren Kelsey & Kaleb Hackett, Kylie & McKenzie Mitchell -- all of Lebanon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Rhonda Renee Barrett and a brother, Richard Hackett.
Active pallbearers: Marty Dodge, Chad Boyce, Phillip Kinslow, Eddie Fields, Tommy Skeen and Carl Comer. Honorary: Ken Hawkins and the Grace Sunday School Class of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund, American Cancer Society, or to the Gideons.
