Obituaries

Alvin Hale, 78
CONCORD -- Graveside services with military honors were conducted Monday afternoon, Nov. 22 at the Concord Masonic Cemetery in Knox County for Mr. Hale, 78, of Mt. Juliet.
A veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Hickory Hills Baptist Church, Mr. Hale died Nov. 19, 2010.
Survivors include: children Tony (Kim) Hale of Lenoir City, Danny (Jean) Hale of Gallatin and Lysa Smith of St. Louis, MO; brothers Bobby (Paula) Hale of Corinth, MS and Benny (Christine) Hale of Ashland City; grandchildren Ryan Smith, Courtney Smith, Brittani Hale, Megan Hale, Cassidy Hale and Lindsey Hale.
He was preceded in death by wife Linda Hale; son Barry Hale; parents Howard and Ora Burnell Hale; three brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Hickory Hills Baptist Church, 2741 Nonaville Road, Mt. Juliet, 37122.

Amber Star Spain, 24
MT. JULIET -- Ms. Spain, 24, of Nashville, died Nov. 16, 2010.
A 2004 graduate of Hume Fogg High School, she attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for three years and was an employee of the Cheesecake Factory.
She loved family, friends and music.
Survivors include: mother Velda Spain Brown, step-father Tim Brown, siblings Bobby (Allie) Spain and Dawn (Mike) Corsaw.
Also surviving are grandparents Faye Fusting and Wayne Sievert; nieces and nephews Timberlie, Michelle, Kylie, Alaya,Taylor and Tyler as well as several aunts and uncles.
Ms. Spain was preceded in death by her father Johnny M. Spain and grandfather Richard W. Fusting.

Frances June Dillard, 79
LEBANON -- Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mrs. Dillard, 79, of Lebanon.
The daughter of the late Lloyd “Crick” and Gladys Drennon Willard, Mrs. Dillard died Nov. 21, 2010.
The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home from 12 Noon until service on Wednesday.
Services will be conducted by Reverend Rockie Williams. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: her husband of over 60 years James Dillard; daughters Debbie (Marty) Beaver and Barbara Linton.
Also surviving are brothers Danny (Lou) Willard and Charles Willard; grandsons Chris Linton and Brandon (Heather) Linton; and great-grandchildren: Josh, Dakota, and Lane Linton, Brae Lynn, Addyson, and Cody Linton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son-in-law Mike Linton, siblings Pete Willard, Mary Swafford, Margaret Ramsey, Janie Sitts, Wayne Willard and Anthony “Hubba” Willard.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Jerry Bybee, 55
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Nov. 23 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mr. Bybee, 55, of Lebanon.
He passed away suddenly Nov. 20, 2010.
Services were conducted by Brother Danny Sellars. Interment followed in Conatser Cemetery.
Survivors include: sons Jerry Bybee Jr. and Joey Richard Bybee; companion Deborah Case; step-children Elizabeth Smith, Kelly (Owen) Beauchesne, Joey (Pam) Dickens and Joshua Case.
Also surviving are siblings Harold (Lillian) Bybee, Joe Bybee, James (Tricia) Bybee, Tom (Mary) Bybee, Sue (Walter) Loftis, Frances Reeves, Silas Bybee Jr., Bernice (Leslie) Denson and Billy (Virginia) Bybee; grandchildren Cody Smith, Andrew Smith, Greg Beauchesne, Kati Beauchesne, Reed Dickens and Amelia Case.
He is preceded in death by parents Silas and Lillian Williams Bybee.
Pallbearers: Owen Beauchesne, Joey Dickens, Gregory Beauchesne, Jerry Bybee Jr., Joshua Case, Billy Denson Jr., Billy Bybee and Joe Bybee.

Margaret Wells Crumley, 81
WATERTOWN -- Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 at Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Crumley, 81, of Watertown.
A homemaker, she died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at Quality Care Health Center in Lebanon.
Visitation will be prior to services on Wednesday.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Steve Mayle. Interment will be in Jones Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include: son William Randy Wells of Clarksville; daughter Melody Wells (Jim) Irons of Watertown; grandchildren Sasha Irons Stevens and Jamie Irons -- both of Watertown and Madison Wells of Orlando, Fla.; great-grandchildren Isabella Pace, Grant, Logan and Malachi Irons; sister Pat Roland of Columbia; first husband William Wells of Watertown as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elmore and Mamie Alexander Adams; brothers Elmore Adams, Jr., James Adams and Ray Adams; sisters Katherine King, Dorothy Huff, Mary Monroe and Linda Rose.
Pallbearers will be grandson Jamie Irons, and nephews Barry King, Ronnie Roland, Donnie Clark, Ellis Jarrett and Robbie Jarrett.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideons International – Lebanon Camp, P. O. Box 591, Lebanon, TN 37088-0591.

Odis Ray Warren, Sr., 75
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 23 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mr. Warren, 75, of Carthage.
Born in Jackson County to the late Newton and Mary Coffee Warren, he died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was a longtime former employee of McFarland and UMC Hospital Maintenance Departments.
Services were conducted by Brother Donnie Bain, Brother Danny Sellars, Brother Todd Elliott and granddaughter Jessica Warren.
Interment was in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 53 years Mary Alice Glover Warren of Carthage; children Carolyn Warren Costen and Micheal Lee Warren -- all of Lebanon and Odis Ray (Lydia) Warren Jr. of Carthage.
Also surviving are sisters Johnnie Hemontolar of Lebanon and Bonnie Thompson of Donelson; grandchildren Kimberly Glover, Daniel Warren, Jessica and Hunter Warren and Kristen Woodson; step-grandchildren Ronnie and Brittny Dye; and great-grandchildren Kayla and Kaitlyn Stephenson; adopted children Mary Ann (Donnie) Bain, Ann Crook Knight, Jennifer Driver Warren, Chris Berry and Robert Locke; adopted grandchildren proud to call him "Pa" Kimmie Dawn and Arianna Knight, Emily Lough, Jenna Vaughn as well as adopted great-grandchild Ana Grace Knight along with numerous nieces and nephews, brothers and sister-in-laws, and many, many friends,
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by children Bobby Ray Warren, Ronnie and Donnie Warren; siblings Willie J. Warren, Carlos Edward Warren, Ruby Pigg, Polly Scantland, Zelma Emmerton and Cleo Dalton.
A special thanks to his home healthcare friends Bridgett Stewart and Melanie Swann; the doctors and nurses of Tennessee Oncology, University Medical Center and Sherry’s Run.

Virginia L. Martin, 59
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, Nov. 20 at the Bond Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Martin, 59, of Mt. Juliet.
The daughter of the late James and Mary Satterfield Eden, she died Wednesday Nov. 17, 2010.
She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Brother Bob Devine.
Survivors include: husband Jack Martin; daughter Dana (Jerry) Porter; step sons Keith (Telena) Martin and Chuck (Dina) Martin.
Also surviving are siblings: James Farris Eden, Minnie Thompson, Doris Smith and Becky Moore along with grandchildren Alecia, Makayla, Cheyenne, Cody and Paige Martin, Joshua and Jared Porter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings J.W. Eden, Farris Wilson and Lilly Faye Moore.
