Obituaries

Darryl Da'Shawn Roper, 19
LEBANON -- Funeral services hare scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Heaven's View Baptist Church on Coles Ferry Pike for Mr. Roper, 19, of Lebanon.
Born May 22, 1991, in Lebanon to Treva Nichole Steverson, and the late James Darryl Roper, he died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011.
Educated in the Wilson County School System, Mr. Roper continued his education at Volunteer State Community College. He was employed with Crossgate Services.
Family visitation, Saturday, from 10-11 a.m. with services to follow.
Services will be conducted by Bishop Belita McMurry-Fite. Interment follows at the Gladeville Cemetery.
Survivors include: mother Treva Nichole Steverson (Eric Talley), Lebanon; daughter Harmony Nichole Burke of Nashville; grandmothers Tina Green of Lebanon and Sarah Roper of Nashville.
Also surviving: sister DeAndrea Grayson of Nashville; uncles Anthony Green, Marcus (Melanie) Green, Stevie Green -- all of Lebanon and Brian (Macie) Gaines of Watertown; aunts Sharon and Karen Roper of Nashville as well as a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.

Grace Floyd, 93

LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mrs. Floyd, 93, of Lebanon.
Born April 5, 1917 in Champaign, IL, to the late Elsie May Hanshaw Carr and the late Talmage Dwight Carr, she died Jan. 18, 2011.
She graduated from Champaign High School in 1935 and attended the University of Illinois in Urbana.
She married Robert Bryce Floyd from Greenville, IL on January 26, 1935.  After the war Bob owned and operated Floyd Electric Motor Service in Champaign, IL and Grace managed the office.
They retired in 1977. For several years they traveled the United States, Mexico and Europe. They followed their daughters to Lebanon in 1997.
Grace was an excellent artist and especially appreciated the Primitives and the works of the Impressionists.
She loved to play bridge most recently playing at the Lebanon Senior Center.
The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 11 a.m. until the service.
Services will be conducted by Brother Larry Locke. Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers:  John Hayes, Richard Thurman, Bob Price, Wayne Collette, and Jay Decker.
Survivors include daughters Barb Hayes (Wayne Collette) and Lynn Floyd-Decker (Jay Decker) -- both of Lebanon; sister Dorothy (Jesse) Dowell of Champaign, IL; grandchildren Cheryl (Richard) Thurman and Josh Decker of Lebanon, Leona Hayes of Arlington, TX, Bob Price of Champaign, IL, John (Lori) Hayes of Birmingham, AL, and Jaimi Decker of Albuquerque, NM; a niece; several nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews; and ten great grandchildren. 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson Gary Hayes of Arlington, TX, a nephew, and her husband who passed away in 2005 shortly after their 70th wedding anniversary.

Steven C. Nunley, 44
LEBANON -- Funeral services will be 12 Noon, Friday, Jan. 21 at Cross Style Church on Trinity Drive for Mr. Nunley, 44, of Lebanon.
Mr. Nunley died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service Friday at the church.
Survivors include: wife Betty J.; daughter Kierra; step-daughters Barbara and Jackie -- all of Lebanon; mother Izella Nunley; siblings Roy B. (Betty), Garland (Jackie), Willie (Sammie) and Horace Nunley, Sally (Jerry) Oldham and Billie Jean (Ray) Thompson; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by father Horace Nunley Jr.; sister Brenda Corder; brother Horace Williams; and step-son Michael.
Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
