Lebanon City Council budget work session will be 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, in the Town Meeting Hall, City of Lebanon Administration Building at Castle Heights.
Wilson County Commission’s Ag Management Committee will meet at 5 p.m., Thursday, July 14, at the Education Building at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center, Lebanon.
Wilson County Beer Board will meet at 6 p.m., Monday, July 18, in Conference Room 2, Wilson County Courthouse, 228 East Main Street, Lebanon, to consider the applications of Heenaben Soni d/b/a Key Stop, 8451 Carthage Hwy., Lebanon, and Aum Shree Sai Butt, LLC, d/b/a Cook’s Market, 3251 S. Mt. Juliet Road, Hermitage.
Lebanon City Council regular meeting will be 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, in the Town Meeting Hall, City of Lebanon Administration Building at Castle Heights. Prior to the meeting, council will hold work sessions at 5 p.m. to discuss the Demand Response Program and Surplus Property in the Gas Department and at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed 2011-2012 fiscal year budget. Council will hold a public hearing, prior to the regular meeting, at 5:55 p.m.
Lebanon City Council will have a work session at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 21, in the Town Meeting Hall, City of Lebanon Administration Building at Castle Heights.
Middle Tennessee Electric crews will be working to improve electric service in Lebanon July 19, which will require two separate outages in an area north of the Public Square.
With the first outage, the scheduled work will require approximately 50 members to be without power. The scheduled time for the outage is 7 to 9:30 a.m. This outage will affect the power lines along areas south of Forrest Avenue and include a small portion of West High Street between North Maple Street and Wilson Avenue.
POOL PLAY STARTS SATURDAY, JULY 16
The Wilson County Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce the schedule for the sixth annual Continental Amateur Baseball Association’s (CABA) 14U World Series.
Hosted by the Lebanon Sports Commission, some 22 teams from various parts of the country will play on five fields throughout Mt. Juliet and Lebanon, beginning Friday, July 15 and running through Saturday, July 23.
The tournament begins Friday with an opening ceremony / meal at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center in Lebanon. Other activities throughout the week include a Home Run Derby on Monday, July 18, followed by a fireworks display provided by the City of Lebanon. On Tuesday, July 19, players and their families will enjoy a Luau/Swim night back at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center.
