Dana Paris Hale, 45

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Hale, 45, of Lebanon. A member of Lebanons Cumberland Presbyterian Church and an employee of Superior Driver Source, she died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at Centennial Medical Center.

Daniels to be featured on Monday Night Football

Country music legend Charlie Daniels and The Charlie Daniels Band will have a starring role in ESPN's Monday Night Football open this week when Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos travel to Atlanta to face Matt Ryan and the Falcons at 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 17.

The open will feature Daniels 1979 hit song The Devil Went Down to Georgia.

Originally written as a narrative about the Devil, who comes to Georgia toprocure souls, Daniels recorded new lyrics for the song this week at Twin PinesStudio in Mt. Juliet, Tenn., that highlight the MNF matchup and both teams starquarterbacks.

Murfreesboro man killed in I-40 wreck

A Murfreesboro man was killed Thursday night on Interstate 40 in Lebanon after reportedly entering the interstate traveling the wrong direction.

Lebanon Police Chief Scott Bowen said at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday, LPD officers responded to a crash on I-40 westbound where Robin Young, 47, of Murfreesboro, was found ejected from his vehicle.

Bowen said Officer Wayne Howard of the department's Traffic Crash Reconstruction team responded to the accident, in which Young was driving a 1997 Ford Taurus heading east in the westbound lanes. Bowen said they believe Young entered I-40 from State Route 840 by driving the wrong way down the exit ramp.
