CU sweeps Campbellsville

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY -- Anthony Gomez and Jake Collier combined to allow just two runs on 10 hits in 16 innings and Brodie Ross posted a pair of two-run doubles and five RBIs in 14th-ranked Cumberlands 5-1 and 4-1 victories over No. 21 Campbellsville University on Saturday, completing a three-game sweep at HIG Field.

The Bulldogs (29-13-1, 13-2 Mid-South) won the opening game of the series, 5-3, on Friday, and now holds a four-game lead with six contests to play in Mid-South action. CU plays its final two series at home, facing UVA-Wise and Bluefield College.

Remus blanks LHS on 5 hits

LEBANON -- Stefan Remus turned in a dominating performance in Friendship Christian's 9-0 win Friday over Lebanon at Brent Foster Field. The righthander went the distance, striking out 11 with no walks.

FCS scored four times in the top of the first on a fielder's choice and two singles. Remus helped his own cause with a pair of hits and Tanner Martin added two hits and drove in a run.
Hunter Watts went 1-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored while Austin Godwin drove in two runs on a 1-for-3 night.
