Margaret Louise Watson, 82

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Sellars Funeral Home for Mrs. Watson, 82, of Lebanon. She died Saturday, September 21, 2013.

The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home Monday, Sept. 23 from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12 Noon until the service. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial immediately following the service.

Three face prostitution charges

Suspects arrested Friday and charged with prostitution have been identified by Lebanon Police Department.

The arrests came after a six-month investigation by LPD, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

OFFENSIVE, SPECIAL TEAMS POW
Cumberlands Reed Gurchiek and Beau Baker earned Mid-South Conference Football Players of the Week, as announced Monday.

The weekly honor is the first of the season for both players. Gurchiek earns his second conference weekly honor of his career after picking up offensive player of the week on Nov. 5, 2012.

Gurchiek accounted for 324 yards of total offense and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs 41-31 victory at Belhaven University on Saturday to earn Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Johansson to be honored at MJ

Long before Courtney McFarlin, Jennifer Johnson and Alysha Clark became renowned statewide for basketball at Mt. Juliet High, there was Smokey Jo.

Shelia Johansson, the unstoppable scoring machine of Mt. Juliets first state championship team in 1977, will have her likeness raised to the rafters alongside Miss Basketball finalists McFarlin, and Johnson and Miss Basketball winner Clark in ceremonies planned this fall.

Ironically, the event will be held on Nov. 22 as Mt. Juliet hosts Hillsboro High.
