Reba Lois Caldwell Fox, 72

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Fox, 72, of Lebanon. A nurse for the late Dr. James Bradshaw for over 30 years, she died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at the home of her son in Gordonsville.

It was good to get back on my regular Saturday schedule, with a noon meal and hopefully some good bird sightings. Our trip took us out to Cairo Bend Road where many memories flooded my mind.

Lady Bears will host sectional Saturday

Mt. Juliet’s Lady Bears will put their 23-game winning streak on the line Saturday as they host a Class AAA sectional game. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. as 28-1 Mt. Juliet takes on 19-11 Franklin High with a berth in the BlueCross Championships next week at Middle Tennessee State University’s Murphy Center at stake.

'Dogs visit Georgetown Friday

Cumberland University's 10th-ranked baseball team opens Mid-South Conference play this weekend with a three-game series at No. 23 Georgetown College.

The Bulldogs and Tigers play a single game at 2 p.m. Friday and a doubleheader Saturday starting at 11 a.m. Live radio coverage of the MSC series is set for 1:40 pm Friday on WCOR AM-1490. Coverage of Saturday's twin bill will air at 11:40 a.m. -- also on WCOR AM-1490.

Wilson Central will play for 5-AAA crown

Mt. Juliet boys eliminated
CLARKSVILLE -- Wilson Central's Wildcats ousted District 9-AAA rival Station Camp 46-38 in Tuesday's Region 5-AAA semifinal game at Rossview, earning a berth in the tournament championship as well as a spot in the TSSAA Sectional.
