Arrests made in market robbery

Lebanon Police arrested and charged three persons, one a juvenile, in connection with an early morning armed robbery at Daily’s Convenience Store at 924 Murfreesboro Road.

The incident occurred about 4:15 a.m. Upon arrival by police officers, an employee told them that a person he believed to be a black male entered the back of the store and approached his counter brandishing a handgun. Officers later learned that the suspect was actually a female juvenile who entered the store.

The employee told officers the suspect demanded money and cigarettes. The clerk complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and placed cigarettes and cigars into a bag. The suspect then fled the store on foot along with another subject who was waiting outside.

Officers began interviewing witnesses and learned the suspects fled to an upstairs room at the Travel Inn. The officers approached the room and made contact with subjects who matched the descriptions received from witnesses. A search of the room revealed merchandise allegedly stolen from Daily’s as well as the weapon believed to be used.

Police charged one female juvenile, who was found to be a runaway, for aggravated robbery.

Two adults were also charged. Ellis Sanders, 19, of Lebanon, was also charged with aggravated robbery because he was found to be the subject waiting outside for the juvenile who entered the store. Robin Brizendine, 22, of Mt. Juliet, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
