Andy Poston is set to appear in Lebanon City Court on Wednesday, July 10 after being cited for violating Lebanon Municipal Code 10-204 for allegedly allowing his dog to run at large.
Lebanon Police first responded to a call about a dog running at large in the area of Brockten Street and Washington Drive around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and after investigation, determined that the animal was owned by Poston who resides at 703 Washington Drive.
Poston was also involved in an incident that occurred on Wednesday, May 22, when his Great Pyrenees attacked Jane Counts, 50, of Lebanon.
Counts had been walking her Boston terrier on Washington Drive, near her residence on Brockten Street, when she was mauled by the dog, sustaining injuries to both of her legs, her arm and arm pit areas. She was treated for her injuries at University Medical Center.
The Great Pyrenees was voluntarily turned over by Poston to Lebanon Animal Control to be euthanized.
According to police reports, Poston admitted that his dog had been running at large on Tuesday. Counts was also mentioned as a witness to the incident.
