Bannach resigns from seat on commission

District 18 Commissioner Adam Bannach has officially resigned from his seat due to relocation outside of his district.

The spot will be filled at the Monday, Jan. 27, meeting of the Wilson County Commission, The Wilson Post has learned.

During the next regular scheduled meeting, candidates can be nominated to fill the vacant seat by any of the remaining 24 county commissioners. A majority vote is required to appoint a replacement.

Bannach will now reside in Wilson County’s District 2 and plans to run for that commission seat in the Aug. 7, 2014, County General election.
