Bears lose 3-2 to Brentwood

Mt. Juliet had a 2-1 lead until the sixth inning, but the Bruins picked up a run, and then the go ahead run in the top of the seventh.


Mt. Juliet struck first in the second inning. With runners at first and third, Kyle Grace attempted to steal second, pulling the shortstop to the bag. Cody Carr found the hole with a single, scoring Marshall Gei. Gei would extend the lead in the third with RBI single, scoring Robby Amity.


Brentwood got a run in the fifth, and tied it up in the sixth. Hunter Anderson had a bloop single in the top of the seventh and scored the go ahead run.


The Bears were not able to get a runner on in the bottom of the inning to extend the game.


Mt. Juliet finished the season 26-12, and collected their eighth straight district title in addition to the programs sixth straight regional title.
