He also told the club he "liked" Tennessee's new football coach Butch Jones. Biddle said Jones is focusing on finding football players from within the state and said that was something that has not been done in recent years.
He urged Tennessee fans in the audience to be patient. He said the rebuilding program for the Vols will not happen overnight.
Biddle forecast that at some point in the near future SEC teams will be playing a nine game conference schedule because he said the SEC network which begins operations next year will demand it.
"It's all about money," he said referring to the conference's television network adding that it will be showing SEC sports 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
Viewers, he said, will see some sports that they probably didn't even know the SEC played because the network will have so much broadcast time to fill.
