Titans Coach Mike Munchak has his work cut out for him.

If he pays any attention to what Cantor Gaming in Las Vegas (Where else?) has to say about the Titans, Munchak might as well get ready for a long, disappointing season.

They could scrap Organized Team Activities. Do away with training camp. Go through the motions during preseason games.

Why?

While most Titans fans are optimistic about the team being able to put in a full off-season of work, the folks at Cantor say the numbers don’t lie.

So, before the Titans break the first sweat as a team, Cantor has offered its predictions for the coming season.

A tad early, you say? Well, the NHL playoffs are still in progress. Ditto for the NBA guys in long shorts (Isn’t that an oxymoron?) The Boys of Summer can’t even see the finish line in May.

So, here’s the bad news. Hate to break it to you, Titans Nation.

Cantor Gaming has the Titans losing its first four games, before a pick ‘em game against the Vikings.

Then they are predicted to lose four of the next five with a win over Indianapolis sandwiched between the other four games against the Steelers, Bills, Da Bears and the Dolphins.

In Week 11 the Titans take a well-deserved break during the bye week. At that point they are 1-8, not including the Vikings game. If you think they will win the Vikings game, they will be 2-8. If not, how does 1-9 sit at LP Field?

If the Las Vegas wise guys are anywhere close to accurate, you will be able to recognize LP field by all the empty seats after the bye week.

Cantor has the Titans beating the Jaguars by one point in Jacksonville. How exciting.

The following week Vegas sees a loss to the Texans, a pick ‘em against the Colts in Indy and another pick ‘em in a home games against the Jets and perhaps a chance to see Tim Tebow in a starting quarterback’s position.

The season will end with an un-ceremonial thud as the Green Bay Packers enter the game as an 11-point favorite. It is the only double-digit line on any Titans game.

Cantor does not predict the season finale because of the uncertainty of which teams will be in the playoffs, thus choosing whether or not to rest some of their key players.

Adding them up, Cantor has 10 losses for the Titans against only two wins and three other games that are currently seen as even games.

It is eerie how close these gaming experts are on even long-range lines.

But how can they explain a team that won nine games last season sliding to only two games in which they will be outright favorites?

You can’t.

Last year’s top draft pick, quarterback Jake Locker could replace veteran QB Matt Hasselback. Either way, the position is in solid hands.

This year’s top draft pick should fit right in in the wide receivers’ meeting room. Former Baylor star Kendall Wright is a promising wide receiver. He can also help in the return game as well as running the football.

With the defense adding some pieces to the puzzle, and with time for defensive coordinator Jerry Gray to install his system, the defense can’t help but improve.

Memo to Munch: Don’t pay attention to what they are predicting in Las Vegas. Pay attention to getting your team primed and ready to play each week. And let the chips fall where they may.
