Bobby E. Todd, 79


LEBANON -- Funeral services for Mr. Bobby E. Todd are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, May 3 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Lebanon, with Carl Jones, Pastor John Hunn, and Pastor Gordon Lee officiating.

Interment will follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Todd, age 79 of Lebanon passed away Apr. 30, 2010, at his home.

Born January 10, 1931, in Luray, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Leo Othello Todd and Virginia Bessinger Todd Meid. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and later served in the National Guard.

He received his E.D.S. degree from Middle Tennessee State University, and taught at Castle Heights Military Academy from 1952-1977, and at the Tennessee Preparatory School from 1977 until he retired in 1995.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi Todd and brothers, Dr. Carl Todd, Maj. Leo Todd and Joe Frank Todd.

Survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Sabra Woodall Todd; son Bobby E. (Jennifer) Todd II and grandsons Nathan Keaton Todd and Jadon Elias Todd -- all of Murfreesboro; and step brothers, Ed and Charles Meid of Tampa, Fla.
