Brazier wins 36th annual HPI

First flightBret Wolfe, Terry Carpenter and Zack Nelson all finished at 149 to lead the first flight. Brandon Martin was one stroke off the pace at 150 to finish fourth while Adam Maxwell finished fifth at 153.


Second flightMike Goodwin won the second flight with a 157 followed by Will Sullican at 161 and Jim Linklater at 162. Kyle Evan placed fourth with a 165, one stroke ahead of Terry Turner at 166.


Third flightCourse owner Terry Turner, Jr. shot a 169 to win the third flight, holding off Ricky Guethleins 170. Carlos Shannon placed third at 172 and Roy Allen was fourth at 174.


Fourth flightThomas White took the fourth flight with a 176; Shawn OConner and Randy Groce tied for second at 179 while Joe Warren and Harold Graves tied for fourth at 183.


Fifth flightRobert King shot a 190 to win the fifth flight; Alex Laine was second at 192; Keith King at 194 and Danny Williams fourth at 199. Kenrick King won closest to the hole honors on both No. 2 and No. 16. Zack Nelson had the longest drive.


Men & women scrambleHunters Point will host its annual Man & Woman Scramble, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 17 and 18. Entry fee is $150 per team which includes green fees for tournament, prizes, and green fees for a practice round if taken by Aug. 16. Carts are not included. Call the pro shop at 444-7521 to reservce a tee time for the opening round.
