“Their music is from Christmases past and so beautiful when sung the ‘The Singers,’” he said. “Of course, they’ve included a few up-to-date pieces and a few just for the young at heart. The kind of beautiful music you sang in your church or school choirs when you were growing up. It will warm your heart.”
The Christmas Dinner is prepared especially for the “Singers’ Shows” by Mary B’s Catering, and Coble said the dinner is “something to write home about.” Along with turkey and dressing, she serves Christmas ham with a salad, vegetables and a mouth-watering dessert. “Some of the guests have been coming back every year and great food is part of the reason.”
Reservations are $30 per person and can be made by calling 444-2842 or by mailing the reservation form you received in the mail. Proceeds from the Christmas Dinner Shows go to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the Bert Coble Music Scholarship at Cumberland University.
To date, almost $150,000 has been given to these organizations as a result of the Christmas Dinner Shows. Coble noted they can serve only 200 diners each night so get your reservations in early.
