City moves toward developing Cumberland Ctr.
BULLETIN -- The Lebanon City Council unanimously passed on first reading Tuesday night an ordinance to establish a local community development find.
The fund would ultimately capture the city's share of sales taxes generated in a designated area toward the development of the Cumberland Center -- a multi-use facility.
The facility would be located at the intersection of US Highway 231 and I-40 (exit 238) on 257-acres adjacent to where Logan's Roadhouse and The Boot Barn are situated.
Lebanon Mayor Philip Craighead is hoping the development would eventually draw more restaurants, reailers and business offices.
