Clock winding down for "Celebrate"

Chip Bevis, Jeff Gannon & Darian Brown

The clock runs out Saturday at Midnight for the "Celebrate My Drive" program sponsored by State Farm Insurance.

Three Wilson County high schools, Lebanon, Wilson Central and Mt. Juliet are in the running with a $100,000 grant awaiting the school that can rack up the most online commitments.

Geared toward educating young drivers about the importance of safety behind the wheel, "Celebrate My Drive" offers $3.25 million in grants nation-wide, $100,000 to 10 schools, $25,000 grants to 90 other schools.

To make a commitment for the school of your choice, just visit and follow the prompts. One vote per person per day, please.

Special activities to boost the promotion are planned at tonight's District 9-AAA football game between Lebanon and Wilson Central at Wildcat Stadium.
