To the Editor:
Lebanon Commissioner of Public Safety Billy Weeks is an alarmist and exaggerates everything in order to scare people. Example: "In the 30 years he has been in law enforcement, Weeks noted "this is the most dangerous time I've ever seen for young men and women (in law enforcement) to work the street." He said that is because of the automatic weapons many in gangs carry and use"
First, an automatic weapon is capable of firing several rounds with a single squeeze of the trigger. Well, Mr. Weeks, where are they? Every year you can ask the same question and that year will be the worst. It is just another tactic used by bureaucrats to get more tax monies!
