Council considers naming Acting Personnel Director

Lebanon City Council was to consider naming the Personnel Department assistant as the Acting Personnel Director during Tuesday night’s regular meeting.
Council was to consider the ordinance naming the acting director on first reading, sponsored by Ward 6 Councilor Kathy Warmath.
In other business, council was expected to approve on second reading an ordinance to waive the payment in lieu of sidewalk construction required as part of the site plan for the Bridge Fellowship Church proposed for the southeast corner of Highway 70 and Powell Grove Road in exchange for the church installing any needed signage for Hwy. 70 to be recognized as a Bike Route.
Council was to consider an ordinance on second reading to reappropriate funds regarding the Cedar City Trail.
Council was also to consider two separate ordinances to approve line item transfers to establish a Part Time Salary Line Item.
Councilors were to consider on second reading an ordinance to authorize a hold harmless agreement with US Community Credit Union for placement of landscaping materials within the permanent utility and drainage easement.
In new business, council was to consider a resolution to establish a Water System Conservation Contingency Plan and a resolution to approve a standard agreement for permanent maintenance of stormwater facilities.
Councilors were to consider a resolution to request approval of a Private Act to amend the Lebanon City Charter regarding the designation, hiring, management and disciplining of city department heads.
And council was to consider an ordinance on first reading to approve a Consent Agreement with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
