Council nods Land Use Plan

If the Wilson County and Mt. Juliet also pass the agreement it will simplify the process for the developer to obtain approval of plans for the area.

The planned use of the area includes single family homes and apartments, as well as commercial, retail and office areas. The plans also show a ball field, an amphitheater, community gardens and a community center.

They also passed on first reading an ordinance to approve bids for an extension of sanitary sewer on Old Murfreesboro Road and Bellvue Drive, and to approve the purchase of 500 refuse carts for the sanitation department.

The Council approved moving its regular November meeting from Tuesday, Nov. 4, Election Day, to Thursday, Nov. 6.
