CU hosts Bluefield Saturday

Weve had outstanding attendance for our four previous home games this season, said CU athletic director Ron Pavan. Wed love to send this senior class out with another large crowd-- and at the same time do a little something to help Wilson County Christmas Christmas for All.
A clearing house for agencies assisting needy familites, Wilson County Christmas for All provides toys for children at Christmas and food baskets for elderly and disabled residents.
Anyone donating a new, unwrapped to Saturdays game will receive half-off admission. Regular admission is $10 per person, $8 for seniors citizens and students.
Cumberland enters Saturdays game 6-3 overall, 2-2 in the MSC West following a 32-30 loss at Bethel last week. The loss eliminated the Bulldogs from centention for a share of the divisional crown and with it -- a shot at a berth in the NAIA playoffs.
Bluefield, a first year program from Virginia, stands 0-9 overall, 0-4 in the MSC West after a 47-13 loss to Lindsey Wilson last week.
Among the seniors to be recognized are area players: Connor McChurch, Daley Sallis and Beau Baker from Wilson County Allante McLemore from Franklin and Thomas Goodloe from Nashville.
