CU Phoenix Ball plans under way
We are so honored to have the opportunity to host this prestigious event, Mrs. Pryor said. As Cumberland alumni, hosting the Patrons Party truly gives us a chance to thank the University for helping us achieve our goals.
A southern-themed poolside soiree, the Patrons Party will feature croquet, dancing, live music and pictures in a sunset photo booth.
Attendees will also be able to sample light southern cuisine and drinks at the outdoor summer gathering, which will call for casual seersucker and sundress attire.
We are already looking forward to this fun evening preceding the Phoenix Ball and hope to have a big crowd join us, she added.
Following the Patrons Party two days later is the 29th Annual Phoenix Ball on Saturday, June 2, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Ball will take place in Baird Chapel in Memorial Hall on the campus of Cumberland University. The Ball features a reception, elegant dining, live and silent auctions and dancing.
The nearly 200 attendees include leaders from the Wilson County and Nashville business communities, dignitaries, and alumni and friends of the University. They come together each year to support the students of the historic institution.
More information about the Ball and Patrons Party is available on the Phoenix Ball website at www.phoenixball.com. Proceeds from both events help support deserving students at Cumberland University through scholarships and other forms of financial assistance.
