CU volleyball falls to Union

LEBANON -- Katie Ball recorded 15 kills and Tracy Smallwood added 10, but Cumberland was unable to defeat rival Union, falling 3-1 Tuesday night at Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.

The Bulldogs (14-11, 4-5 TranSouth) won the opening game, 25-17, but Union prevailed in the final three, 25-15, 29-27, 25-18.

Joni Simpson tallied nine block assists, while Taylor Denney collected 18 assists and Amanda Adcock added nine.

Cumberland travels to Bethel for a match Wednesday night and hosts Reinhardt Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dallas Floyd.
