The weekly award is the third straight for Lind, a redshirt senior and a native of Hartford, SD.

Lind continued his torrid pace by hitting .500 (7-for-14) last week with two home runs and eight runs batted in.

The second baseman hit safely in all four Cumberland games last week to extend his hitting streak to 11 games. Lind opened the week with three hits, including a home run, and five RBIs in the Bulldogs’ 17-5 win over Bethel (Tenn.).

Over the weekend, Lind hit his second home run of the week -- a three-run shot -- in Cumberland’s 3-0 win over Cumberlands (Ky.). In the series opener, Lind was 2-for-3 with three runs scored in an 11-7 win. He finished the weekend series with a 1-for-3 performance and a stolen base in a 4-2 loss to the Patriots.

Lind concluded the week scoring seven runs and amassing a 1.000 slugging percentage.

Lind currently leads the Mid-South Conference in batting average (.458), slugging percentage (.716), hits (71), RBIs (51) and total bases (111) and is tied for the conference lead in runs (42) and home runs (8).

Nationally, Lind is in the NAIA’s top 10 in nine different statistical offensive categories, including first in hits, second in total bases and RBIs and sixth in batting average.

Cumberland moved to 26-15 overall and 9-8 in the Mid-South with last week’s results.
