"I'm just overwhelmed," Coach Hunt said Thursday, "I've been so blessed here at Cumberland. I've worked for and with some great people along the way."

Hunt along with Joe Roberts (Armstrong Atlantic State), Kent Shelley (Johnson County CC), Ralph Rago (UC Davis), Dan Gallagher (Fordham Univ.) and Bill Aker [posthumously] (Northern Kentucky) will be inducted during the dinner.

Cumberland has claimed two NAIA national champi-onships (2004, 2010) and finished as the national runner-up twice as well (1995, 2006) under Hunts leadership, which enters its 32nd season as head coach and 34th at the University with the 2012-13 academic year.

The Bulldogs have won 19 regular season conference championships, 10 conference tournament titles and reached the NAIA World Series 11 times.

In addition a total of 60 players have earned All-America honors and 76 have inked professional contracts.

"I'm certainly not for everybody," Hunt said, "but the players who stay with the process and have accepted the challenge -- they'll be a better person for the time they've spent at Cumberland."

The ABCA/Diamond Hall of Fame honor marks the sixth hall of fame for Hunt, including: the Boyle County (KY) Baseball Sports Hall of Fame, the NAIA Hall of Fame, Cumberland's Sports Hall of Fame, the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame as well as the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Hunt has also raised funds and helped build one of the best collegiate baseball facilities in the nation, including NCAA institutions, including Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium, the Jeanette C. Rudy Clubhouse and the Benton Jennings Indoor Facility.
