LEBANON -- Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Testamand, 68, of Lebanon.
Known by many as “Coach Poppy”, Mr. Testamand died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas in Nashville.
Born March 15, 1942, in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Hollis and Mary Mathes Testamand.
Mr. Testamand was a member of the Bethlehem Church of Christ and a 1961 graduate of Lebanon High School. He had worked for Amerigas as a repairman and hauler and coached softball at Tuckers Cross Roads for many years.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Services will be conducted by Brother Kenneth Head and Brother Jim Key. Interment will follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 46 years Annette White Testamand; daughters Renee (Bob) Capitani, Regina (Randy) Leach and Kimberly (James) Demumbra; grandchildren Anna and Kenzie Demumbra and two brothers Melvin (Sandy) Testamand and Eddie (Connie) Testamand -- all of Lebanon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Mathis.
Pallbearers: Mark, Cody and Clark Mathis, Doug, Douglas, Billy and Bob White.
Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home of Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
