FCS thumps MJCA 49-6

             Friendship Christian bounced back from last week’s loss by thumping Mt. Juliet Christian 49-6 to finish the season 9-1.

            The Commanders scored early and often getting to end zone five times in the first half of play.

            Mt. Juliet Christian had no answers as the Commanders racked up 396 yards of offense while holding the Saints to 108 yards of offense.

FCS back-up quarterback Kyle Neal got the start for banged up starter Lee Maasen who was sidelined nursing a sore shoulder. FCS kept in on the ground for the most part running 54 running plays while attempting only two passes all night.

            Friendship winds up in second position in Region 4,1A behind Trousdale County and will host a first round game next Friday night at Pirtle Field in Lebanon.
