Mitchell ripped a grand slam homer and a bases-loaded double as the Commanders improved to 28-6 on the season headed into Friday's Class A sectional contest.

FCS broke open a scoreless tie with four runs in the bottom of the second on on an RBI single by Gunner Osborne and a three-run double by Mitchell.

Friendship Christian tacked on a single score in the third followed by three runs in the fifth and five more in the bottom of the sixth.

Godwin (8-0) handled Trousdale County's lineup with relative ease, striking out 10 Yellowjackets and allowing just four hits. He gave up just one earned run and issued two walks over his six inning stint.
