LEBANON -- Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, at Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Martin, 91, of Lebanon. The daughter of the late Rial and Gertie Jennings, Mrs. Martin died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at University Medical Center.
Know as "Fannie B" to her family and friends, she was a Watertown High School graduate and attended Cumberland College. She was an assistant manager for Sears and also worked at Mary Lee’s Style Shop. Mrs. Martin was a member of Lebanon’s First United Methodist Church.
Services will be conducted by Brother David Hesson and Dr. Larry Locke. Interment followed at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: daughter Diane Martin (Ed) Gentry; sister Mrs. Inez J. Harrison; grandchildren Aaron Martin (Kathy) Gentry, Deana Lynn (Jason) Green, Kelly Gentry (Joe) Dorlac; great-grandchildren Emma Kathryn and John Martin Gentry, John and Grace Ann Green, Jacob Edward, Morgan Beatrice, Hailey Marie, Collin Frederick Koziol and Arin Dorlac, and sister-in-law Mrs. Dot Martin. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husband William Dean Martin; daughter Deanie Martin Bucy; brother A. Powell Jennings and wife Arlyne; brother-in-law J. Clark Harrison.
Active pallbearers: Bob Bucy, Jason Green, Aaron Gentry, Sam Hatcher, Bill and Jim McDowell, Sid Paris and Joe Dorlac. Honorary pallbearers: Edward Gentry, Glenda Paris, Helen Mason, Madeline Hagan, Rosie Ward, Frank Kolinsky, Shirley Carlile and Marie Le Cornu.
The family requests contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church.
