DIXON SPRINGS -- Graveside services were held Thursday afternoon, July 22 at Dixon Springs Cemetery for longtime Lebanon businessman Frankie Gregory, 69.
Mr. Gregory died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at University Medical Center.
Born in Pleasant Shade, he was the retired owner and operator of Frankie's Esso / Exxon Service Station & Garage on West Main Street.
He was a member of the Bide Russell Missionary Baptist Church in Riddleton and a 1959 graduate of Smith County High School where he was active in the agriculture program. His senior year he served as President of the Future Farmers of America.
Services were conducted by Elder Charles Allen Gentry.
Survivors include: daughter Michelle (Richard) Augustyniak of Murfreesboro; sisters Bobbie Duke of Donelson and Mary Moores of Ridgetop; granddaughter Nicole Augustyniak; and his loving companion of 38 years Chris Clinton of Lebanon.
He is preceded in death by parents Fred Alvis and Elsie Ellis Nixon Gregory and siblings Shelby Gregory Gutterrez and Joe Allen Gregory.
Memorials may be made to the Gregory Family Funeral Fund.
The Carthage chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
