He also said that there were no drugs found in his client’s mouth and a drug test was negative.
Thompson said on Tuesday that the two charges against Cosby under consideration by the grand jury are assault ("putting someone in fear") and aggravated perjury.
Cosby was still on patrol until recently, when he was put on administrative duty. Thompson said Cosby is currently out of the state on military duty.
"Officer Cosby has been activated by the Army and is currently performing relief operations in the Gulf," commented Mt. Juliet City Manager Randy Robertson on Tuesday. "I would defer further comment to the District Attorney."
