GLADEVILLE -- Memorial services for Mr. Harold A. “Harry” Simms are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Gladeville United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Youngman officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Simms, 79, of Lebanon passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Lebanon Health & Rehab.
Born October 4, 1931, in Montreal, Quebec Canada, he was the son of the late Harold Allen andBessie Tulk Simms.
Serving in the Canadian Navy during the Korean War, he retired from T.D.S. Telecom where he worked as an engineer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Simms.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Unick Simms who he married on Nov. 25, 1955; children Allen (Judy) Simms of Murfreesboro and Jane (Neil) Higgins of Naples, Italy; sister Patricia Simms of Oregon; and grandchildren Hailie Simms, Meghan Higgins and Taylor Higgins -- all of Murfreesboro; and Jonathan Higgins of Naples, Italy.
Memorials may be made to the Gladeville United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
