Born in Kirksville, Mo, he was a part of the Gaither Homecoming Video Series for over 15 years, and was a background singer on the Nashville Networks Prime Time Country television program.
Mr. Hill's solo music ministry took him to many countries around the world. His voice is heard on countless recordings by some of the music industrys most popular performers and his songs have been featured on projects by many award winning artists.
His timely song Why Cant All Gods Children Get Along was nominated for the Gospel Music Associations Song of the Year in 2010.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 p.m. until the service.
Survivors include: mother Bernice (Ray) Roach of Greenville, S.C.; father Gordon E. Hill of Tucson, Ariz.; wife Kathy Mullinax Hill of Mt. Juliet; children Melody Hill of New Orleans, Miriam Hill of N.Y. and Caleb Hill of Los Angeles, Calif.; brother Sidney (Christina) Hill of Louisville, Ky.; sister Cheryl Childress of Greenville; and niece Stephanie Childress of Greenville.
