Junior righthander Connor Harris started and picked up the decision. He pitched two shutout innings, striking out three, walked none and surrendered four hits.


Nolan Chambers worked the final three innings and gave up two runs, struck out one and walked two.

DeKalb Co. 8, watertown 7 --SMITHVILLE -- Watertown stranded 13 baserunners in a tough 8-7 loss at DeKalb County High Tuesday evening.


The Purple Tigers took an early lead with four runs in the top of the first, only to see DeKalb County score three in the bottom of the first, then tack on three more in the second.


Watertown's Brannon Hill reached base three times, scoring one run and driving in a run. He tripled in the fifth inning. Tanner Rowland and Nolan Allison each had two hits for WHS.
