LEBANON — Rosie Burton passed away on April 22, 2009 at age 92. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Saturday, April 25, from 4-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 Noon until the funeral. Services will be conducted by Brother Danny Sellars. Survivors include daughter Vickie (Bill) Witcher of Lebanon; sister Edna Irvin; grandchildren Sherayah, Haley and Samuel Witcher; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband A.D. Burton, and parents Marlon and Mary Frances Gass Barrett. Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements. |

LEBANON – Funeral services have been scheduled for 12 Noon Saturday at the Heaven’s View Baptist Church for Mr. Joyner, 37, of Lebanon. Born in Franklin, KY to the late Edward Lee and Joyner Elaine Joyner, he died April 19, 2009 at Lebanon’s University Medical Center Hospital. The family will receive friends Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Belita McMurry with interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: daughters Cassandra Rickman, Anissha Beasley and Lamonica Lillard; siblings JoAnna Barnett, Jackie Woods, Jimmy (Elizabeth) Shannon, Ronnie Joyner and Vincent (Charlene) Joyner; uncles and aunts Edward (Eva), Jessie, Bill, Laura Mae, Alice Mae and Dollie Mae; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. CORAOPOLIS, PA – Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 24 at Copeland’s Funeral Home for Mrs. Waite, 82, formerly of Lebanon. Known as "Jerry" to all her family and friends, Mrs. Waite died March 18, 2009. Educated in local schools before the family moved to Nashville, Mrs. Waite was the beloved wife of 59 years of the late Samuel C. "Bud" Waite. The daughter of the late Gerald and Gladys Gibson, her father was the Railway Express Agent in Lebanon for many years. She worked for Life & Casualty Insurance and retired as an accounting clerk from PDM in 1988. Mrs. Waite was a member of the First Baptist Church, Coraopolis. Survivors include: sisters Beverly A. Newman of Lebanon, Linda Stone of Hendersonville and Dorothy Jean Hendrickson of Nashville; children Kerry L. (Shirley) Waite, Karol S. (Wally) Wawrykow, Kimberly K. (Andrew) Procopio and grandchildren Evan (Becky) Wawrykow and Vanessa (Bobby) Bouchet. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by infant daughter Sherry E. Waite. Copeland’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |

PRESIDENT OF WOOD GROUP LEBANON -- Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Immanuel Baptist Church for Mr. Stephen Wayne Wood, 44, of Lebanon. President of Wood Group Enterprises, Mr. Wood died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 following an extended illness. Stephen was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, a graduate of DuPont Senior High School, Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management. He was a former Trustee of Cumberland University, a former Community Council member of Wilson Bank & Trust, a member of the Mt. Juliet / West Wilson Chamber of Commerce, and the Nashville Home Builders Association. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet. Services will be conducted by Pastor John Hunn. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. |

LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25 at Berea Church of Christ for Mr. Tatum, 95, of Lebanon. Known to his family and friends as "Red", Mr. Tatum died April 21, 2009. A lifelong resident of Wilson County, he was a retired farmer, school bus driver and worked at the Garment Factory. He was a member of Berea Church of Christ, Lebanon Senior Citizens, and a former "mayor" of Possum Town. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home Friday, April 24 from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by Brother Todd Elliott and Brother Greg Smith. Interment in Watson Cemetery. Survivors include son Gary Wayne (Sue) Tatum of Lebanon; brother Charlie (Elizabeth) Tatum; sister Frances Ann Brown; grandchildren Lia Hittle, Gara Williams, Mona Dill Steinke, Randall Alexander, Rex Alexander, Lynn Jenkinses, and Tina Sliger; 40 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends from Berea Church of Christ and Possum Town. He is preceded in death by wife of 65 years Elizabeth Hester Tatum, daughter Martha Clay White, parents Jesse Lee and Melinda Jane Midgett Tatum, brother Carl Eli Tatum, and sisters Stella Bly and Etta Lee Ozment. LEBANON -- Visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, April 24 at the Immanuel Baptsit Church for Mr. Fields, 46, of Lebanon. Known as "Tim" or "Timmy" to his family and friends, Mr. Fields passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009. A former employee of Toshiba America for 19 years, he recently worked for Gibson Guitar in the Rough Mill. Tim loved classical cars, Elvis and Pepsi Cola. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and honorary member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with funeral services set for 1 p.m. Pastor John Hunn will officiate the services. Interment is set for the Gordonsville City Cemetery. Survivors include: parents Billy Joe and Margaret Christian Fields; siblings Jeff (Debbie) Fields, Beverly Sells and Frances Fields -- all of Lebanon and Melissa (Randy) Mundy of Pleasant Shade. Also surviving are nephews Josh (Megan), Joel, Jonathan and Jason Sells, Jacob Fields; niece Maria Mundy; girlfriend Tammy Jewell.
