A 46-year-old Lebanon man has been classified as missing after never returning from a leisurely stroll to a Lebanon convenience market on Monday.

Doug Johnson, a resident of Cedarcroft Home, Inc. on South College Street in Lebanon, went for a walk to a nearby tobacco/convenience store on Monday and never returned, according to a spokesperson at the not- for-profit residential facility.

Johnson was a resident of the independent housing at Cedarcroft.

According to Peggy Zide, administrator of Cedarcroft, Johnson went to the store to buy some filter-less cigarettes and never made it to the tobacco shop.

“It’s a very short distance from our facility to the store. It is like he disappeared into thin air,” she explained.

Johnson is described as a white male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing around 300 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a bright yellow hoodie with blue jeans and white sneakers. Johnson has a history of mental illness.

If anyone has seen Johnson or knows of his whereabouts, contact Lebanon Police Detective Eddie Brown by calling 444-2323.
