LEBANON -- The move of a nationally recognized logistics company to a local industrial park has brought a new focus on job growth in Wilson County. Nashville East Logistics Center, located just south of Lebanon near the intersection of Interstate Connector Route 840 and Couchville Pike has added yet another tenant and in doing so is continuing to build the employment base in Wilson County.

According to the Joint Economic and Community Development Board of Wilson County, Ozburn Hessey Logistics has become the newest resident of the business and commercial development.
G.C. Hixson, JECDB executive director, said Ozburn Hessey Logistics, a worldwide company based in Nashville, is leasing some 325,000 square feet of space in the industrial park. Hixson said his office does not know at this time how many employees Ozburn Hessey plans to place at the site.

He said Ozburn Hessey, a company with more than 120 locations in North America, Europe and Asia and some 6,000 employees, is a leading provider of supply chain management and logistics solutions.
Ozburn Hessey is the most recent company to locate in the business development, Hixson notes, adding that the park has seen a string of announcements regarding new tenants over the past several years.

Currently located in the business park there are six distribution and operation centers besides Ozburn Hessey. These companies and their respective estimated employee numbers are Wilson Sporting Goods, 150; Tacle Seating, 100; Big G, 38; Aldi grocery, 66; Nissan Distribution, 125; and Vi-Jon beauty products, 75.

Only two buildings remain in the park with available space at this time. A structure on the southwest quadrant of the development has 556,000 square feet available and a building on the northeast quadrant has about 700,000 square feet of vacant space.
