J. M. Johnson, 77
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, September 16 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Johnson, 77, of Watertown.
A retired mechanic for Caterpillar in Joliet, IL and a U.S. Army veteran (Korea), Mr. Johnson died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at Cedars Health Care in Lebanon.
He was a member of the Fall Creek Baptist Church.
Services were conducted by Brother Billy Trice, Brother Dan Dozier and Brother Greg Bell. Interment followed at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife of 55 years Marjorie Johnson; daughters Brenda (Lannie) Modlin of Joliet, IL; Patricia (Ron) Bleuer of Minooka, IL and Denise (Eddie) Carlisle of Murfreesboro.
Also surviving are brothers Bobby Gene Johnson of Gordonsville, Charles (Ellen) Johnson of Spring Hill, Dewey (Nancy) Johnson of Columbia, half-brother Willard Jr. (Shirley) Johnson of Columbia, half-sisters Beverly (Wayne) Green and Darlene (Ken) Fisher -- both of Columbia; grandchildren Joshua and Janelle Modlin; Stephanie, Peggy, Cody and Nicholas Bleuer; Jeremy Johnson and Tyler Carlisle; great-grandchildren Hannah Modlin and Kurtis Brassard; several nieces and nephews; aunt Ruth Johnson; brother-in-law Douglas (Mable) Paul.
Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by mother Lacy Boston, step-father R.E. Boston; father Willard Johnson and step-mother Dorothy Johnson; brothers Cleophas and Billy Johnson; as well as several aunts and uncles.
Partlow Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
