Jack Dillon Cronk, Sr., 92
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday Aug. 6 at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, 1940 N. Mt. Juliet Road, for Mr. Cronk, 92, of Mt. Juliet. A native of Detroit, MI and a World War II veteran of the US Army, he died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011. A faithful and dedicated member of the Church of Christ, Mt. Juliet congregation, he served as an elder for over 30 years and enhanced the lives of others through missions such as playing music in nursing homes, teaching in the Jail Ministry and working with disaster relief projects, even as he battled cancer. His work career consisted of sales, real estate brokering and housing development. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Rd. Services will be conducted by Brother Jimmie Stearsman. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his loving and adored wife of 68 years Bernice M. Cronk; children Jack D. (Nanette) Cronk, Jr. and Linda (O.T.) Tucker; grandchildren LeAnn (Lewis), Tiffany (Jay), Matthew and Mark; great grandchildren Brenna, Hallie, Brendan, Dylan and Michael. Box 865, Cookeville, TN 38506. Mr. Cronk was the son of the late James and Golda Raider Cronk. He was also preceded in death by his sister Betty Parker and grandson Bryan Cronk.
