LEBANON -- Memorial services are scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, August 12 at the First United Methodist Church for Mrs. Chappell, 68, of Lebanon.
Born Jan. 7, 1942, in El Paso, TX, to the late John Frederic and Bonnie Opal Shoemake Aust, she died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at her home.
A graduate of Western Connecticut State College, she was a special education teacher in Kansas City, Missouri, for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a part of the United Methodist Women.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Services will be conducted by Rev. David Hesson.
Survivors include: her husband of 49 years Dillard M. Chappell; children Shannon (Phillip) Hodge of Lebanon and John Stuart (Remei Guim) Chappell of Barcelona, Spain.
Also surviving are grandchildren, John Wesley Hodge & Caroline Joy Hodge and sisters June (Robert) Wier of San Antonio, TX and Johnine (John) McDowell of Spring, TX.
Memorials may be made to an animal shelter or to the First United Methodist Church.
