LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, October 2 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Massey, 50, of Lebanon.
Mr. Massey passed away suddenly Monday, September 29, 2008, while working on his farm.
Born May 21, 1958, in Wilson County, he is the son of Haywood and Claudine Highers Massey.
He was a 1976 graduate of Lebanon High School and a 1978 graduate of Cumberland University. He was a farmer and had worked at University Medical Center in the purchasing department for 25 years. He was a member of the Tuckers Cross Roads United Methodist Church.
The family will recieve friends Wednesday between the hours of 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Brent Davis. Interment will follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery at Tuckers Cross Roads.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years Sylvia Clark Massey; daughter Mandy (Alex) Rogers; parents, Haywood and Claudine Massey; and brothers, Larry (Shirley) Massey and Mike Massey -- all of Lebanon.
Pallbearers: Alex Rogers, Lee Clark, Tom Bobo, David Buck, Rusty Thompson and Jeff Lannom. In Lieu of flowers make meorials to the American Heart Association, New Leash of Life (Wilson Co. Humane Association), or Westland United Methodist Church.
